6^th grade Orientation: 

The Coug Crew of Kilo Middle School invites you to our 6th grade orientation on Tuesday, September 1 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. 

Yes, this is a 3-hour event! We want you to come! We need you to come! It won't be the same without you! 

Our Coug Crew is a program of Kilo students who will be there for You throughout the year!

Wear comfortable clothes, don't bring all your stuff, and you won't need your cell phone...travel light! 

We are excited that you are joining us at Kilo Middle School

Mark your calendars for Coug Days! This is your one-stop opportunity to get ready for the new school year. 

Families can complete online registration, pick up student schedules, purchase Kilo Cougar Spirit Gear, sign up for sports, activities and clubs. 

Cougar Days are a great way to connect with staff, get questions answered, and make sure your student is ready for a successful first day of school. 

We can't wait to welcome our Cougars back on Tuesday, September 1^st 1:00-2:30!  

The first day of school for grades K-12 is Wednesday, September 2, 2026. To find out what time your child's school starts and ends, please view bell schedules.

During the First Six Days of Kindergarten, each family will have one scheduled WaKIDS Family Connection Meeting with their child’s teacher. This is an opportunity to share information about your child and connect with their teacher as they begin kindergarten.

Meeting dates: September 2-10, 2026
Important: Your child’s teacher will provide your family’s specific meeting date and time.

Kindergarten scholars attend half days during the First Six Days of Kindergarten and are released 3.5 hours early. The first full day of kindergarten is Friday, September 11. (FWPS is closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day).

If your child rides the bus, this means your child’s bus will arrive at their normal stop approximately 3.5 hours earlier than normal.  Parents or guardians must be present to pick up their child from the bus stop when the bus arrives.
