Federal Way Public Schools is excited to celebrate Women's History Month this month! We’re joining alongside other celebrations nationwide with activities throughout our schools that showcase the contributions and lives of women throughout history.

Celebrate Black History Month with Federal Way Public Schools this February! Join us as we honor the enduring legacy and impactful contributions of African Americans throughout history. This month-long celebration will feature dynamic assemblies, inspiring art projects, soul-stirring musical performances, and much more.

Eighth-grade scholars and families are invited to attend High School Planning Nights to learn more about the high school experience, including course offerings, programs, and more.

As part of Dr. Pfeiffer's presentation, our Scholar Representatives to the School Board shared a powerful message that “We are Better Together” when it comes to supporting our students and schools.

FWPS middle and high school scholars and families explored options for the future by visiting booths, attending workshops, and listening to panel discussions.

During DiscoverU Week, FWPS scholars in grades PK-12 will participate in a week of college and career exploration activities.

Disability History and Awareness Month takes place during October to increase awareness, respect, and acceptance for people with disabilities, and to bring a greater sense of pride to people with disabilities.

Attend the annual college and career fair to explore post-secondary options including 2- and 4-year colleges, apprenticeships, and more!

Visit the Washington Department of Health Safety Study Hall website, a place for schools, students, and families to learn about health and safety topics.

September 15 marks the beginning of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time when our district and schools acknowledge the contributions, achievements, histories, and vibrant cultures of individuals of Hispanic or Latinx descent from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America.

School Open House Nights will be Sept. 17-19, 2024. Please be sure to attend these important events.

On Monday, August 19, Federal Way Public Schools hosted its fifth annual New to FWPS Breakfast at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center, warmly welcoming over 140 new certificated staff members to the district.
